How does the Pro-Fractional laser work?

Pro-Fractional uses laser energy to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin which are surrounded by areas of healthy, untreated skin. The zones of untreated skin invigorate the body’s natural healing process, and the treated areas stimulate production of new collagen, plumping up the skin and smoothing out wrinkles, lines, scars and other irregularities.

Who should consider a Pro-Fractional treatment?

If you are looking for younger looking skin, or to improve scars, wrinkles, or sun damage in a comfortable treatment facility with a fast recovery time frame, then you may be an ideal candidate for Pro-Fractional. To learn more, schedule your complimentary consultation with Rejuvenate Doctor.

    What areas can be treated?

Most skin areas can be treated. Popular areas are the face, neck, chest and hands.

What is a Pro-Fractional procedure like?

Pro-Fractional is a fast, comfortable procedure. The procedure normally takes 15-60 minutes depending on the condition and the size of the area treated. A numbing cream may be applied in advance in order to aid your comfort during the procedure.

How many Pro-Fractional treatments will I need?

Pro-Fractional is typically done in a series of 1-5 treatments, spaced 3-6 weeks apart, depending on your needs. Your Rejuvenate Doctor will put together a personalized treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. ProFractional may be combined with a MicroLaserPeel, Laser Skin Peel, BBL or other popular aesthetic procedures to further enhance your treatment results.

What should I expect after treatment?

Immediately following the procedure you may experience a mild redness, resembling a light sunburn sensation. Complete healing takes only about 1–3 days and most patients can get back to work and apply makeup within 1-2 days after the treatment.

What special after-treatment care will I need?

Your skin will be more sensitive to ultra-violet light after the procedure, so you must avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. You should always use some level of sun protection to avoid sun damage and premature aging of your skin.

    MICROLASER PEEL™

    What is MicroLaser Peel?

The MicroLaser Peel is the latest advancement in skin resurfacing. This advanced Sciton laser skin rejuvenating treatment precisely removes the outer most layer of skin. This removal of the dead layer and the thin layers of the epidermis helps smooth the skin’s surface while blending irregular pigmented age spots at the same time. The best candidates for MicroLaser Peels are people seeking significant improvement in skin texture, color and tone and who want more improvement than what Microdermabrasion or Light Chemical Peels offer (and don’t want more than a few days of downtime).

During treatment, the laser-resurfacing device precisely removes the outermost layers of skin at a pre-determined depth. The procedure is customized to the needs of each individual and to the specific skin conditions to be corrected, which include fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, irregular pigmentation and excessive sun damage.

    What can a MicroLaserPeel Treat?

The MicroLaserPeel is an excellent choice for acne scars, wrinkles, pigmented lesions, and sun damaged skin. It is often recommended in combination with other laser technologies for optimal results. Some of the most commonly treated areas of the body include the face, neck, and hands.

What can I expect from a MicroLaserPeel?

Most individuals experience smoother, healthier, more vibrant skin, with an immediate improvement in skin texture and tightness. Your skin should continue to improve over 6 months of time due to increased collagen stimulation in the deeper layers of your skin.

What are the advantages of MicroLaser Peel?

When compared to other skin resurfacing methods, a MicroLaser Peel results in much less post-treatment redness and swelling, and offers patients a more rapid healing process, which generally lasts from 2 to 5 days, depending on the depth of the peel. Post-treatment, the treated area will resemble varying degrees of sunburn for up to 3 days, sometimes a little longer. Any discomfort can be easily controlled with over-the-counter medication. Sunblock should be applied when in the sun.

Following treatment, MicroLaser Peel patients experience smoother, healthier, more vibrant skin, with an immediate improvement in skin texture and tightness. For up to 6 months, the skin should continue to improve due to increased collagen stimulation in the dermis.

How is a MicroLaser Peel different from other laser treatments?

Unlike conventional CO2 lasers, the advanced Sciton laser system enables medical professionals to program a specific treatment plan for each patient.

One of the most important differences is, however, when compared to conventional laser resurfacing, MicroLaser Peel patients heal in a fraction of the time. This is because the procedure produces minimal tissue damage, resulting in less sloughing, less oozing, and less swelling in the post-treatment phase.

How many treatments will I need?

The number treatments will depend on your skin condition and your desired goals. Your Rejuvenate Doctor will recommend the number of treatments needed for you to achieve your desired result.

Generally, the least invasive MicroLaser Peels (10-20 microns) may be performed 4 to 6 weeks apart until the desired result is achieved. Deeper MicroLaser Peels may be performed every 6 months to a year, if requested.

How long is the healing process?

In most cases, a 10- to 30- micron peels will heal in 3 to 5 days. The treatment can be done on a Thursday or Friday so you can easily return to work the following Monday. This is why MicroLaser Peel is sometimes known as “the Weekend Skin Peel”. Symptoms immediately following the procedure resemble sunburn. Redness will begin to fade by Day 3 and can be covered with makeup on Day 4.

    What type anesthesia is used?

A topical anesthetic may be applied 30-45 minutes before your treatment. For deeper peels, oral sedation may be suggested.
